The History of Landmark Church
The Landmark Church in Peachtree Corners was founded in 1974. The foundation of Landmark Church is Jesus Christ and His love for us. There is a song that says "on Christ the Solid Rock I stand...all other ground is sinking sand." At Landmark Church, we firmly believe what Jesus says in John 14:6 ?I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." We believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the present day working of the Holy Spirit - in all of His gifts - that Jesus is still doing everything He did while on earth, only through us. Our prayer is that the Holy Spirit will "enable us to speak Your word boldly as You stretch out Your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the Name of Your Holy Servant Jesus". (Acts 4:29b-30)
Landmark Church is rooted in loving God, loving our neighbors, and living our lives in a manner befitting the Lord. This is the best and only way we, as followers of Christ and good citizens, can fulfill our mission. Simply stated, we are working and walking the path paved with values instilled in us by the teachings of Jesus. We encourage you to come with us, especially if you are seeking answers to your questions of faith and spirituality.

I announced my retirement from Landmark as senior pastor this past Sunday, November 8. Since God sovereignly began this congregation in my home the first Sunday in December, 1974, it has been the joy and honor of my life to serve God and His people at Landmark. God has blessed us extravagantly! He is so faithful. I praise Him daily for every life He has touched through the ministry of Landmark Church.
I am so pleased to announce, with great joy and anticipation, that God has raised up two amazing men of God, Lance Campbell and Vincent Skinner, to be the next pastors/leaders of Landmark. I have full confidence in these men. I am excited in my spirit that God is going to do a new thing, an amazing thing, a “more than we can ask or imagine” thing in and through Landmark. The best is yet to come!
Rejoice with me as we usher in this next phase of the exaltation of Jesus and the expansion of His Kingdom in and through Landmark Church. (My last Sunday will be December 27.) God bless you, God bless Vincent and Lance, and God bless Landmark Church!
